Basement Underpinning

Toronto's housing stock is unusually demanding. We work daily on 140+ year-old heritage homes with rubble and brick foundations, tightly packed downtown townhouses, and semi-detached properties where a shared party wall dictates every move. Each of those structures needs a different underpinning sequence, and we plan yours before excavation begins.

Underpinning removes soil beneath your existing footings in small, engineered sections and replaces it with new reinforced concrete poured to a deeper elevation. Because only a limited length of wall is ever unsupported at once, the building above stays structurally safe, your neighbours stay protected, and the finished basement gains real, code-compliant ceiling height.
